Expert Do's & Don'ts
Version 2026-07-01 · Last updated 2026-07-01
These guidelines set the professional standard expected of every expert on ExpertGrid. They are referenced by the Expert MOU; repeated or serious breaches can lead to suspension or removal.
Do
- Keep your profile truthful and current — credentials, affiliations, availability, and rates.
- Respond to inquiries and invitations within your stated response time.
- Deliver engagements on time, to the agreed scope, and to a professional standard.
- Disclose conflicts of interest before accepting an engagement.
- Keep client information confidential during and after every engagement.
- Run all platform-originated engagements and payments through the platform’s escrow.
- Raise problems early — with the client in the engagement room, or with your ExpertGrid contact.
- Complete payout onboarding so releases reach you without delay.
Don't
- Don’t misrepresent qualifications, experience, or verification status — anywhere.
- Don’t take platform-originated engagements off-platform to avoid commission.
- Don’t share confidential client material, or use it beyond the engagement.
- Don’t accept work you lack the expertise or capacity to deliver.
- Don’t offer professional advice as your AI Twin’s output — the Twin only reflects your published material, and high-stakes questions belong with you directly.
- Don’t solicit reviews, manipulate ratings, or disparage other experts.
- Don’t contact clients for unrelated marketing without their consent.
Enforcement
Concerns are reviewed by our trust & safety team. Depending on severity we may warn, suspend, or remove a profile; disputes over specific engagements follow the dispute process in the Terms. Decisions affecting your account are recorded and communicated to you.
