This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. To exercise your rights (access, export, or erasure), use your privacy & data settings.

1. Data we collect

• Account — name, email, role, password (hashed), locale, timezone.
• Profile (experts) — headline, bio, topics, services, uploaded proof of credentials.
• Marketplace activity — inquiries, bookings, opportunities, room messages, reviews, payments and payouts.
• Usage — profile views and similar analytics events; cookies for session, locale, currency, and consent.

2. How we use it

To operate the marketplace: authentication, discovery and matching, bookings and escrow payments, communications, trust & safety, and legal compliance. We process data to perform our contract with you, for legitimate interests in running the Platform, and to meet legal obligations.

3. Sharing

We share data with processors that run the service (payments, email, storage, AI features) under contract, and with counterparties only as needed to complete an engagement (e.g. a client sees an expert’s public profile). We do not sell personal data.

4. Retention

We keep personal data while your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. Financial and audit ledgers are retained as the law requires, with identifying fields anonymized on erasure.

5. Your rights

• Access & portability — download your data.
• Erasure — delete your account; we crypto-shred personal data and remove uploaded files while preserving legally-required ledgers by reference.
• Consent — manage cookie and processing consent; withdraw at any time.

6. Security

Passwords and API keys are hashed; secrets are never exposed; access is capability-controlled; transport is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards.

7. International transfers & children

Data may be processed in the regions where our providers operate; a data-residency region is recorded per organization where applicable. The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18.
