Refund & Cancellation Policy
Version 2026-07-01 · Last updated 2026-07-01
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for bookings and escrow-funded engagements.
1. Escrow & release
When you pay for a booking or fund a milestone, the amount is held in escrow. Funds are released to the expert (less the platform commission) only when the engagement is confirmed complete.
2. Cancellations & refunds
- If an expert declines a request or either party cancels before the engagement is delivered, any amount held in escrow is refunded to the client.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment provider; processing times depend on the provider and your bank.
- A booking that was never paid incurs no charge.
3. Disputes
If a client and expert disagree about a milestone, either party may raise a dispute. Funds for the contested milestone remain held in escrow until the dispute is resolved.
4. Expert payouts
Released funds are paid to the expert’s verified payout account. Experts must complete payout onboarding (identity and bank/UPI verification) before funds can be disbursed.
5. Chargebacks & fraud
We cooperate with our payment provider on chargebacks and may withhold or reverse payouts related to fraudulent or disputed transactions. [Specific timelines and thresholds subject to legal & processor review.]
